Not just a community, the MCR also has a dedicated space just for the ‘postgrads’, where we host our socials. Trinity Hall’s MCR is a welcoming place for all, whether to study, relax, or socialize – and we have been known to throw a spectacular party or two! This website contains key information about life at Cambridge, the college, it’s students, your committee and what we have coming up this year!
Originally established to address the acute shortage of trained clergymen and lawyers following the devastation of the Black Death, Trinity Hall now boasts a wide variety of subjects covered by its 650 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The college is divided into Central site and Wychfield site. Central site, the main site, houses the historic Front Court, the Chapel the Jerwood Library, with its stunning views of the river, and most importantly, the MCR. As a postgraduate, your accommodation is housed at Wychfield.
The MCR is where we have our formal pre/post-drinks, bops, welfare teas, society events, study sessions and everything in-between. Always stocked with tea and coffee, it’s the perfect place to catch up with friends or get some work done in a comfy chair.
In addition to its amazing accommodation and beautiful gardens, Wychfield site has on-site playing fields, gym, squash courts and tennis courts for all MCR members. Other major plusses are the WychfieldPorters’ Lodge and on-site maintenance teams. Our lovely Porters are delighted to help collect your mail, pump your bike tires and provide any first aid advice you might need (amongst many other things!). The maintenance team are always handy to make sure that everything is working as it should, to ensure that that your time in Wychfield is as pleasant as possible.
